Description

In collaboration with Luiza Margan. A proposed site-specific installation for the Biotechnology Institute in Vienna. The work consists of a wall of sealed glass boxes mounted against an existing glass facade, each containing an independent, autonomous bio-system — plants, earth, and water sealed at the moment of installation, developing without external intervention from that point on. The border between natural earth processes and scientific intervention is the subject: each sealed unit becomes a preserved snapshot of nature, independent from the outside world and from each other.
