Description

In collaboration with Luiza Margan. The work, also known as Shif, was produced in cardboard and acrylic and shown as part of the Solid exhibition. An arched, fireplace-shaped panel ("Kamin" = chimney/fireplace) covered in a dense floral-tile pattern, shown mounted flat on a gallery wall alongside a brick-pattern projection and a free-standing angular metal form. The Solidno documentation shows what appears to be the same type of patterned arched panel used as a foldable, modular element — propped into tent-like forms or collapsed flat — suggesting Kamin may be one specific wall-mounted configuration of a panel system shared with Solidno, rather than a wholly separate object.
